After having been one year at the theater school 'Herman Teirlinck' in Antwerp she was asked in 1980 to play the main female part in the feature film 'Sprong naar de Liefde'.The first step in her early career was taken. A career characterized by variation and change. Besides of all the acting she found it always very important to have a full life. To see a lot of the world was, and still is, a priority for her. With great pleasure she started to travel all over the world. Also living in London, from 1996 tot 2001, has had a great impact on her. It was very enriching for her personal growth. To integrate in a new society is quite demanding and gave her a lot of food for thought, and also great insights. Fortunately she connected well and got acting jobs. Step by step she built in the U.K. a modest and varied career. In combination with the traveling she started to develop a passion for writing. she was looking for a way to give all the things she saw and experienced a form. She started to write traveling-articles. In London she got the opportunity to write the column 'London Calling' for one of the biggest Dutch newspapers 'Het Algemeen Dagblad'; personal impressions of this dynamic world city. In 1996 her debut book 'Zingend Rietí was published at the publishing company ëFonteiní. Acting and writing is a perfect combination. Acting is something she does closely interacting with other people, focusing on a public or a camera.
